Definition Zero Defects. Description.
Zero Defects is a motivational program designed to improve
equality and encourage error-free performance by appealing to the individual
employee’s pride of workmanship.
It is a performance standard methodology and quality philosophy
invented by Philip B. Crosby that states if people commit themselves to watching
details and avoiding errors, they can move closer to the goal of zero.

History of Zero Defects "The conceptual development of Zero Defects started the Quality Revolution of the 80's. In fact, quite a few of the quality programs today have their roots in the skunkworks at PCA. Take SixSigma for instance. Its forrunner was a product called QES (Quality Education System) developed at PCA. Today technology has turned the "concept" into an execution system that prevents errors, mistakes and omissions. As an example a major medical device company has not seen an error, omission, mistake or returned product due to a manufacturing oversight in over 4 years using this system.
