Definition Post-Merger Integration. Description.
Post-Merger Integration became a popular management term in
the 1990s as it became increasingly clear that while signing off M&A deals
was easy, making them work was much more difficult.
Merger failures usually revolve around people issues -- loss
of key staff, culture clash, fear-uncertainty-doubt, and last but not least,
poor communication and interaction between employees of the merging organizations.
